Fresh Start Energy: Why I Love the Quarterly Reset
Quick Tip Tuesday: Quarterly Review, Refresh, Reset

There's something so invigorating about the start of a new quarter. It feels like a mini New Year, offering a natural pause for reflection and a burst of energy for planning what's ahead. I truly relish this opportunity to take stock and strategically map out the coming months.
For me, the beginning of a quarter is a dual process: looking back and looking forward. It's a chance to analyze what truly worked in the previous three months and, just as importantly, what didn't quite hit the mark. This isn't just about business metrics; it extends to all aspects of our lives – what we ate, how we spent our money, and the general rhythm "within these walls," as we like to say around our house.
The Power of Reflection:
Taking the time to review the past quarter provides invaluable insights. We look at:
What brought us joy and success? Identifying these wins helps us understand what to prioritize and replicate.
Where did we fall short? Acknowledging challenges allows us to learn and adjust our approach.
Our spending habits: Were our financial choices aligned with our values and goals?
Our routines and habits: Were they serving us, or were there areas for improvement?
This "look back" isn't about dwelling on mistakes but rather extracting valuable lessons to inform our future decisions.
Embracing the Planning Power:
With the previous quarter analyzed, we then shift our focus to the exciting possibilities of the upcoming one. This involves:
Calendar Review: We take a close look at the next three months, noting key dates, commitments, and potential opportunities.
To-Do List Refresh: It's the perfect time to update our to-do lists, both big and small, ensuring they align with our overall goals.
Goal Setting Discussions: We have open conversations about our aspirations for the quarter – what do we want to achieve personally, as a family, and in our work?
This proactive planning helps us feel grounded, focused, and intentional about how we spend our time and energy. It transforms the blank slate of a new quarter into a roadmap for progress.
So, as we step into this new quarter, I encourage you to embrace this natural cycle of reflection and planning. It's a powerful way to stay aligned with your values, make conscious choices, and ultimately, live a more intentional and fulfilling life – both within your business and within the walls of your home.
