The Kitchen Essential You're Probably Missing

Quick Tip Tuesday

Ever open a container of leftovers and wonder, "Just how old is this?" Or worse, toss something out because you think it's old, but you're not entirely sure? I've been there! That's why this Quick Tip Tuesday is all about a simple tool that's revolutionized my kitchen organization: a Sharpie marker.

Seriously, keeping a Sharpie in your kitchen is a game-changer. No more guessing games about when you opened that jar of pickles or when those leftovers went into the fridge. With a Sharpie readily available, it's quick and easy to jot down the date directly on the container. Boom! Instant food tracking.

This simple habit has saved me from food waste (and potential tummy troubles!) more times than I can count. It's also a great way to keep track of when you opened things like spices, which can lose their flavor over time.

Plus, a Sharpie can be a lifesaver in a pinch! Need to label something quickly and don't have your trusty Mabel’s Labels or Brother label maker on hand? A Sharpie can do the trick! (Though I'm still a big fan of Mabel's Labels for all things school and Brother for long-term & household labeling solutions!)

So, do yourself a favor and add a Sharpie to your kitchen arsenal. It's a small investment that can make a big difference in your food organization and overall kitchen sanity.
