Welcome to the First Edition of Within These Walls!

Hello everyone, and welcome to the very first monthly newsletter from Longtail Lane! I'm Mariann Morell, and I'm so excited to finally share Within These Walls, a newsletter publication for Longtail Lane; sharing essential resources for everyday life.

A Little About Me

I'm a Greater Philadelphia native, although I did venture to Washington D.C. for my education before returning to my roots. My career journey started in corporate space planning, but a shifting market led me to the healthcare industry. For nearly 15 years, I immersed myself in healthcare operations, finance, growth, and strategy.

A New Beginning

Life took a wonderful turn when I was expecting my second child. I made the conscious decision to transition from traditional employment to consulting. This allowed me to prioritize raising my two children while exploring a new, more balanced approach to work and life. I felt passionately about sharing all the knowledge I have accumulated and decided to start the company Longtail Lane.

Within These Walls, is our monthly newsletter delivered directly to your inbox. It is filled with inspiration and simply valuable ideas to make your life the best it can be! As a subscriber you get detailed behind the scenes insights and first looks at everything from our home renovations to product testing. Basically everything that happens within these/our walls. We also dive deep into topics like:

These last two months we have been working on general and easy to execute life enhancements like organizing your task lists in Microsoft’s To Do and making sure you streamline communication with members of your household through a shared email. We also explored making your money go further with a Costco membership and some small investments with long term returns like cast iron pans.

We started our series Around the House which follows all the projects big and small we are doing to enhance where and how we live. I will be sharing all of them in detail on Instagram and in posts on our website.

Another addition has been our Friday Favorites. This series highlights a favorite product or process of mine from the past week.

We have an incredible March lineup all about babies! I have two children, a daughter and a son. My daughter is 4 and my son is 6 months. So we are currently revisiting all of the baby items and making sure that we were not just in the haze of the first child, but that these items will bring value to your life.
